School bribes allegedly involve 200 kids | Bangkok Post: news

Viroj Samruan, former director of Samsenwittayalai School, receives roses from students at his school after bribery allegations made headlines, in June. According to him, 7 million baht in cash was paid as bribes for the admission of the 200 students. Mr Chana said the acceptance of financial assistance without a receipt was unacceptable to the alumni association and he did not know where the money was. Although the school director was transferred, other executives of the director's managerial team remained, he said. The school made headlines last month after a parent circulated a video clip allegedly showing the school director, Viroj Samruan, receiving money for accepting his child into Mathayom 1.
